- Space Chimps- Been out for 10 weeks and this movie has come with $25.4M
- Hellboy II: The Golden Army – After being out for 11 weeks, it only made $73.5M
Hancock was awesome! I saw it when it came out (7/7/08). It was full of laughter but then at the same time it was mean. The word for that is CRUDE HUMOR. But it was very funny at the part when some country guy said “That man should sue you!” and then Will Smith (Hancock) said, “How bout you sue McDonalds, cuz they really f*** you up. I was so in shock when he said that but it was soo funny. I mean like, the whole movie theater was hollerin (laughing hard) at that part. Also another part when he said “Good Job” and the people were like…. what? Another twist in the movie was the part, well the thing is, the dude’s wife (The people who live in the nice house at the end of the street) looked at Hancock very strange each time he visited there house. So coming to the twist, while the businessman wasn’t home (or he was upstairs), Hancock came to the house(or he was already there) and talked to the wife and then…. Ok let me shut up. Im spoiling the movie for those who havent seen it.
Well, thats it for movies.

As of looking at Souljaboy’s Official Youtube page, I saw him advertising him and his new contract signing with YUMS©. They have all types of colors as of having a side ways Y on it. Here are all of the shoes as of now that they have.

Well, Its been a pleasure doing this post. I am so lucky because I am 1 minute away from 9:00, the time I need to get off. ROFL. But thank goodness. Hope you have a wonderful and blessed week!

Club Penguin
Nothin much going on at Club Penguin, other than the Treasure Hunt game is now working in Rockhopper’s Quarters.
Music
First of all, here are the current top 10 songs as of August 11, 2008 (billboard):
- I Kissed a Girl – Katy Perry
- Forever – Chris Brown
- Disturbia – Rihanna
- Take a Bow – Rihanna
- Viva la Vida – Coldplay
- A Milli – Lil Wayne
- Dangerous – Cardinal Offishall featuring Akon
- Tonight – Jonas Brothers
- When I Grow Up – The Pussycat Dolls
- Closer – Ne-Yo
Now for the featured music video:
Bartender Song – Rehab
Our first news story concerns a single that has tied with one of the Beatles’ songs on the Billboard singles chart. “I Kissed a Girl” by Katy Perry has sat atop the Billboard singles chart for 7 weeks straight going on 8! The only other song ever to achieve this is “I Want to Hold Your Hand” by the Beatles. I sure hope the Beatles aren’t beaten lol. It does seem kind of odd that a bisexual song has tied with a perfectly straight one. Katy Perry’s hit single has quite a catchy tune, however “disturbing” the song may be.
The next story is quite sad. Isaac Hayes, the soul legend passed away on August 10 (yesterday) at the age of 65. He played the role of Chef in South Park, and won an Academy Award and a Grammy. He was found on the floor near a treadmill in his home before being pronounced dead at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis.
The featured album for this post is Viva la Vida from Coldplay, it is one of the top albums! This music has a nice, smooth sound with lots of melody. The songs are dabbed with instrumental parts, that are mostly found in the more popular songs from this album, Viva la Vida and Violet Hill. Also has very good lyrics. Here are some facts about the songs in the album:
- Viva la Vida means “long live life”
- The album broke the record for most iTunes downloads in one day
- Violet Hill is a street near Abbey Road, so the song looks at the Beatles
- The acoustic-guitar driven instrumental at the beginning of Life in Technicolor was originally a full song with lyrics. However when a stranger described it as an “obvious single” the words were deleted.
That wraps up the music section of today’s post!

Olympics
Here’s some stuff about the incredible opening ceremony to the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympics!
Although NBC did not provide live television coverage of the spectacular four-hour-long opening ceremony from the Bird’s Nest stadium in Beijing today — and in fact, you won’t be able to see it on television anywhere in the U.S. until tonight (Canadians, and Americans perched along the Canadian border, watched live on CBC) — here on Rings we tapped the power of the Internet to cover the event live.
Silicon Valley Insider put a lot of work into finding ways to watch online and led us to an excellent German-language feed (which was here during the ceremony) that downloaded slowly on some computers but delivered large and clear images. We were also entertained by what seemed to be a live video stream of the Eurosport feed here, with Russian commentary, and some sort of amateur moblogging via Qik here.
Those of you coming to this late, now that the ceremony has ended, can read about everything that happened here on the Times Olympic blog. Lynn Zinser of the Times was at the stadium, providing periodic updates of the proceedings and describing everything she saw.
